Exhibit Hall Stages
ALA offers exhibitors several opportunities to participate in on-site events during the Annual Meeting furthering promotional opportunities for your authors and organization. Your participation in these programs is promoted on the Annual Meeting website, in Cognotes - the official show daily, in the final program book, in social media, and in on-site signage. Detailed descriptions can also be listed in the Online Scheduler.
Stages and submissions include the Front Porch Stage, Now Showing Film Program, What’s Cooking Demo Stage, PopTop Stage, and Graphic Novel Gaming Stage.
The stage submissions are at no cost; however, submission does not guarantee a time slot. Submissions are reviewed and all submissions will be notified once the final schedules have been confirmed.
Submission sites will open in February.

FRONT PORCH STAGE
Front Porch Stage is back! Located in the lobby area of the convention center outside the registration area. This live stage focuses on solo acoustic acts across a wide range of musical instruments and styles.
NOW SHOWING @ ALA FILM PROGRAM
Offers a variety of films and documentaries throughout the day from Saturday through Monday.
WHAT'S COOKING @ ALA COOKING DEMONSTRATION STAGE
Located on the Exhibit Floor, the What’s Cooking Demo Stage offers chefs, restaurant owners and food personalities an opportunity to prepare the hottest recipes, share their cooking secrets and autograph their latest books. Time slots are 50 minutes including Q&A and generally consist of a 30-minute cooking demonstration and education followed by a 20-minute signing/sampling.
THE POPTOP STAGE - POPULAR TOPICS, EVERY DAY
The PopTop Stage, located on the Exhibit Floor, will focus on popular librarian favorites including: Mystery, Romance, Audio, Science Fiction and other topics of interest. The PopTop Stage will feature readings, discussions, and presentations over the course of the exhibits. Time slots are 50 minutes including any Q&A, and generally consist of a 30-minute reading, discussion, or presentation and a 20-minute signing.
GRAPHIC NOVEL GAMING STAGE
Attendees gather to hear from authors, illustrators and creators of the hottest games and graphic novels. Learn more about the art of graphic novels and illustration, how games and gaming inspire creativity and social interaction, and how comics in the library and in the classroom can help inspire and reach reluctant readers.
Promotes artists, illustrators, and creators of comics, games, graphic novels, and books through an exchange of an original piece of artwork for a free exhibit table located in the Artist Alley aisle. All submissions will be reviewed. Art deemed to contain adult material will not be accepted. Submission does not guarantee a table.
BOOK BUZZ THEATER
Highlights the latest "Buzz" about the newest titles from the hottest publishers all in one easy-to-find location on the Exhibit Hall Floor. Time slots are on a first come first served basis.
Please be aware that this is a new site compared to previous years. This new form is required by all applicants.
Book Buzz will be set with couches and high-top tables with stools. There will also be a head table on stage and tables located in back of room for handouts or food and beverage, if ordered. Basic audio visual (Projector, Screen, and up to 2 microphones) are included with the fee. We will load your presentation in advance to a laptop that will be on stage. Any additional AV items, including internet, will be at your own cost.
All sessions will be video recorded, synchronized, edited and included on the post-show recordings website. Presenters must sign a speaker release form prior to presenting. Participating publishers and full-registered attendees will have access to this site at no charge.
Book Buzz theater schedules will be promoted on the Conference website, in Cognotes, the official show daily, the final program book, signage, social media, and at the entrances to the Book Buzz Theater.
All time slots are $600 each and will include theater set up, A/V listed above, access to the video recordings, promotion and signage. Invoices will be sent following the conference. You can host this on your own or partner with other publishers and share the cost. Please note that you are responsible for the partnering.
